Ashlyn Doyle

Ashlyn Doyle came to midwifery after a lifelong interest in pregnancy and childbirth and a desire to work in the healthcare field. She graduated from Mount Royal University with a Bachelor of Midwifery in 2022 and has spent the first part of her career serving the pregnant people in Calgary and surrounding area. Since becoming a Midwife, Ashlyn has also worked as a Connect Care Super User, helping Midwives and other healthcare workers use a new hospital computer system as it rolls out across Alberta. She spent time in Fort McMurray for that role in the Fall of 2023 and fell in love with the city, its people, and its fabulous midwives. Catching babies is only a small part of what Ashlyn loves about midwifery. She loves showing her clients what a supportive and positive healthcare experience looks like. She loves giving evidence based information and supporting people as they make the best decisions for themselves and their families. She loves seeing people become parents and helping them grow in confidence as they nurture the new life they’ve created. Ashlyn has an additional passion for teaching people to understand and chart their menstrual cycles and is currently working towards certification as a Fertility Awareness Instructor. She has also contributed to an upcoming research publication centred on strengthening midwifery associations. In her free time, Ashlyn enjoys trying her hand at crafts and DIY projects, going for runs and hikes, and attempting to win a game of Dutch Blitz against her fiancé.
